Here's some food for thought. I had my mind set on buying another Samsung model before I purchased this one, because out of all the manufacturers out there, Samsung does it right. And that's not some clever sell tactic - that's the truth. Go to any store, like Best Buy, and see for yourself. I did, and was quite impressed with how well they outpreformed vs. LG's and other brand names. In doing this, I did all the research, just like you; refresh rate, LED vs. LCD vs. Plasma (and all the pros and cons that follow that argument), 3D or not 3d, SMART TV or not, etc. The bottom line is, you already know what the specs are. What you really want to know is how it will perform when you get it home. First of all, don't believe the naysayers who tell you that the sound on flat-panel... I checked it out at Best Buy first, but you can't beat Amazon because delivery was free and faster. We have a 42" LCD smart tv in another room and its amazing how much more natural and crisp the picture is with the LED. It took 5 minutes to set it up, and it has a great swivel stand.
